Pastor since 2003
It is a joy to serve as Pastor of the New Hope family! This joy comes from seeing people come to know what it means to be a follower of Jesus. Lives are being transformed by Christ in this church family, and together, we are making a difference in our community, city and world.
My wife, Dianne and I are parents to Luke, Sam, Joe and Jennifer who are all grown up and making their way in the world in different parts of the country which gives us fun places to visit! We enjoy life as empty-nesters and have discovered that without kids under our roof life is quieter and slower which we’re making the most of. We enjoy walks with our Golden Retriever, Oscar, and unless there’s a game on TV we want to watch, we spend most evenings reading books.
New Hope is the third church I’ve served as Pastor. I’ve served congregations in Pittsburgh and Norwalk, Ohio. I have a bachelor’s degree from Purdue (Go Boilers!), a Masters of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.
Associate Pastor since 2017
Before being ordained I have served at New Hope since September 2010 in a non-ordained role.
My passion is pastoral care, walking with others in the challenges and joys of life. I serve with Stephen Ministry and the deasons, both of which are ministries of compassion and care. I lead a women's small group on Thursday mornings and a Journey small group, diving into this life with Jesus in a deeper, intentional way, paying attention to what God is doing in the world and how God uses each one of us to love the world.
My husband, Tom, and I have two children. Tori is out on her own, and Jason is finishing high school. I am an Indianapolis native and a former kindergarten and elementary school teacher. After 17 years of joy working with children, I left teaching to attend seminary. I'm grateful for God's call on my life and find great joy in loving God and the world with the people of New Hope.
"Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you by my victorious right hand." - Isaiah 41:10
Worship Arts Director since 2005
I am blessed to work with Pastors Steve and Jennifer, the Music Ministry (choir, band, bells, and special music), and the Sound/Video Team in creating meaningful worship experiences for our congregation.
My greatest passion is to reach people through music and bring them closer to God.
I can't believe the difference being at New Hope has made in my life. I know I still have a long way to go on my faith journey, but I feel God's presence in my life more than ever.
I live with my husband, Howard, and dog, Cooper, in Noblesville, Indiana. I graduated from Butler University (Go Dawgs) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Arts Administration in 1981. I've played piano since I was 4 and have spent the majority of my working years as a professional musician.

Director of Student Ministries since 2015
I am the director of Student Ministries which covers a broad range of ages from 5th-12th grade. My ministry is to see students’ lives transformed through the hope of Jesus Christ. Ultimately, my goal is for students to understand and own their faith so that it continues even when they graduate. What I love about this ministry is the people. Whether that is a student, parent, or volunteer, one of my greatest joys is simply living life with them.
I went to Grace College and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Youth Ministry and communications. Since then, I have been doing full time youth ministry for five years. I am married to an amazing guy named Ethan. In our free time we love a good film or tv show. Top favorites are Parks and Rec and all the Star Wars!
A verse that I love and try to live by is 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, "Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live."
Director of Children's Ministries since 2017
My role involves providing direction and oversight to our Sunday school program and VBS for children ages three through fourth grade by bringing passion, insight, and fresh ideas to the ministry. Providing guidance and support to the Nursery team is also part of this role. I’m very excited to be coordinating yearly events such as but not limited to, Sunday school Kick-Off, Recognition of Sunday school Small Group Leaders, 3rd Grade Bible Presentations, Sacrament Training, Easter Egg Hunt, Family S’more’s Night, and Family Movie Night, etc.
I’m very passionate not only about the quality of programs we provide the children here at New Hope, but am equally passionate about the giving hearts of the members of this congregation. Whether it be volunteering to be a Sunday School Small Group Leader, providing care in our lovely nursery, or the many helping hands we receive at VBS and other events – we are so fortunate!
I feel like this role was created for me and am so excited to see what God has in store for the Children’s Ministry here at New Hope. I pray that His spirit will be present in all that we do and will shine through our service to others.
I have a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in Human Development and Family Studies. My work and volunteer background in the areas of Human Resources, Pre-school education, Sunday School Ministries, VBS Coordination, Call Committee Chairman and Dance Instruction.

Mission Outreach Coordinator since 2017
I get to serve our community and world by encouraging others at New Hope to serve! My hearts aches for people or families going through hard times, and I get so much joy when we can help ease their burdens, bring a smile to their face or talk with them about Jesus!
I believe God has given everyone a gift that should be used to serve others. It’s a simple concept, but it can get overwhelming with all the needs we see in our world. I hope to make the decision a little simpler for our members by helping match them with mission teams that speak to them.
I am married to Ben and together we have 3 children; Sophie (8), Kate (6) and Matt (5). They keep us pretty busy with sports and theater, plus my husband and I enjoy spending time with friends, boating on Geist and traveling to new places.
“Use whatever gift you have received to serve others”. 1 Peter 4:10
Title: Office Volunteer
My ministry at New Hope is to provide counseling to members as well as those in the community, who are struggling with the challenges of life. I see individuals, couples and families in my practice.
While the people who come into my office are struggling and in great pain, it is so exciting to witness their growth as they discover who they are truly meant to be.
